Valve Sealing
Conventional Pressure Pass Control
This specialty involves injecting sealing grease at pressures higher than conventional levels in order to overcome the existing pressure. This is done through the valve's grease fittings, aiming to fill the packing chamber cavity. Due to the injected pressure, the grease will seek to exit through the damaged areas of the part; as it does so, it repairs the damage and blocks the flow. Special greases are used for this purpose that meet all the service product standards to reduce flow and block the valve.
Reverse Pressure Pass Control on Valves
This specialty is more complex because it involves injecting sealing grease at pressures much higher than the operating pressure. For this service, an integrity test is initially performed on the valve body. Once the test is completed and the thickness parameters are within acceptable limits, a live drilling is carried out, followed by tapping, installation of a nipple assembly and full-port valves, allowing access to the ball or regulating element. Once the previous process is completed, sealing grease is injected to block the valve 100%. Among these operations, welding stands out, using approved procedures and certified welders for component repair, including hardfacing (using Stellite, Skwan) on seats and plugs.
